This year, ifva presents an exhibition of media art works from one of the most highly regarded among new media artists in Japan, Daito Manabe. Daito Manabe is a playful Virtuoso in New Media Arts at various international arts festivals. In 2008, he came to Hong Kong to take part in a popular and impressive video and sound performance at the 13th ifva Festival. With this revisit to Hong Kong, Manabe will showcase his media installations, which masterfully utilise new media to bring forth new experiences for the audience. More>>>

Seven finalist works of the 18th ifva Awards Interactive Media Category will be shown alongside:
- (Atypical Installation) by Wong Yu-hin, Lam Chi-fai
- Arrivals by Marco De Mutiis, Kenny Wong
- Bad Trip by Kwan Tsz-wai Alan
- Differential Reality by Kelvin Lee
- I am Not Playing Violin by Fung Tsun-yin Jasper
- Present Moment by Chan Woon-ting Naomi
- The Telescopes by Wong Fuk-kuen
The seven finalist works utilise mechanical mechanisms, kinetic sound installation and also virtual reality software in an innovative way, so as to explore the wonderful connections between human beings and the world. A discussion session will be held on 16/3 (Sat) 5pm, all are welcome. More>>>
